Your Advantages

Brand Eli Lilly

Mounjaro 10Mg Kwikpen contains Tirzepatide 10 mg, an injectable medicine used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes and for weight management in adults with obesity or who are overweight with related health conditions.

Benefits

Mounjaro 10Mg Kwikpen helps improve blood sugar (HbA1c) control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It also supports weight management, including weight loss and maintenance, in adults with obesity or who are overweight with comorbidities. The active ingredient, Tirzepatide, acts as a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, which helps regulate appetite, slow gastric emptying, and enhance insulin sensitivity. This medication is administered once weekly via an easy-to-use pre-filled KwikPen.

Uses and Indications

  • Treatment of insufficiently controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
  • Weight management, including weight loss and weight maintenance, in adults with obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m²) or who are overweight (BMI ≥ 27 kg/m² to < 30 kg/m²) with at least one weight-related comorbid condition (e.g., hypertension, dyslipidaemia, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes, or type 2 diabetes mellitus), as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
  • Treatment of moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) in adults with obesity.

Precautions and Safety

  • Mounjaro may cause thyroid C-cell tumors, including medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), in rats; the human relevance is unknown. It is contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of MTC or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
  • Acute pancreatitis has been reported. Patients should be informed of symptoms such as persistent severe abdominal pain (sometimes radiating to the back, with or without vomiting). Discontinue Mounjaro if pancreatitis is suspected.
  • There is a risk of hypoglycemia, especially when Mounjaro is used with insulin secretagogues (e.g., sulfonylurea) or insulin. A dose reduction of concomitant medications may be necessary.
  • Serious hypersensitivity reactions, including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, problems breathing or swallowing, severe rash or itching, fainting or feeling dizzy, and very rapid heartbeat, can occur. Seek immediate medical help if these symptoms are experienced.
  • Acute kidney injury due to volume depletion (from gastrointestinal adverse reactions like nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea) has been reported. Renal function should be monitored.
  • Mounjaro delays gastric emptying, which may affect the absorption of concomitantly administered oral medications. Monitor patients on oral medications with a narrow therapeutic index.
  • Never share a Mounjaro KwikPen between patients.
  • If there is a chance of pregnancy, use contraception, as Mounjaro may affect the effectiveness of oral birth control.
  • Avoid alcohol, as it may mask or worsen symptoms of hypoglycemia.

  • Very common side effects (affecting more than 1 in 10 people) include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and stomach pain.
  • Common side effects include decreased appetite, indigestion, burping, gas, bloating, heartburn or reflux, dizziness, fatigue, injection site reactions (such as redness or itching), increased levels of certain pancreatic enzymes (like lipase), increased calcitonin in the blood, and hair loss.
