The Lantus Cartridge Injection 3ml contains:

• Insulin Glargine I.P. 3.6378 mg per mL, corresponding to 100 IU human insulin per mL.
• Each 3ml cartridge contains 300 IU insulin.

Dosage and Administration

1. Administer subcutaneously once daily at any time, but at the same time each day.
2. The dosage and timing should be individually adjusted by a doctor based on metabolic needs and blood glucose monitoring.
3. Do not administer intravenously or mix with any other insulin or solution.
4. Rotate injection sites within the abdominal area, thigh, or deltoid to reduce the risk of lipodystrophy and localized cutaneous amyloidosis.

Storage and Disposal

• Unopened cartridges should be stored in a refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F) and protected from light until the expiration date.
• Do not freeze Lantus; discard if it has been frozen or overheated.
• Once opened, the cartridge should be stored at room temperature (below 30°C or 86°F) and discarded after 28 days, even if insulin remains.
• Keep out of direct heat and sunlight.

• Insulin treatment requires constant alertness to the possibility of both high (hyperglycemia) and low (hypoglycemia) blood sugar levels.
• Never share insulin pens, needles, or syringes between patients to prevent the transmission of blood-borne pathogens.
