Dosage and Administration

  1. Take Eltroxin 100mcg Tablet orally once daily on an empty stomach, preferably in the morning 30-60 minutes before breakfast, with water.
  2. Take it at approximately the same time each day for consistent hormone levels.
  3. Dosage is individualized by a doctor based on blood test results (TSH, T3, T4) and clinical assessment.
  4. Avoid taking with milk, dairy products, antacids, or mineral supplements (calcium, iron, magnesium, or zinc) for at least 4 hours before and after taking this medication, as they can interfere with absorption.
  5. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered, unless it is nearly time for the next dose. Do not take a double dose.

 

Storage and Disposal

  • Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture.
  • Keep in the original package/blister pack.

Side Effects and Risks

  • Side effects are often caused by taking a higher dose than needed and usually disappear once the correct dose is established.
  • Possible side effects include palpitations (irregular heartbeat), vomiting, anxiety, diarrhea, weight loss, tremors, increased appetite, restlessness, insomnia, headache, excessive sweating, heat intolerance, and changes in menstrual cycle.
  • Report severe adverse reactions such as very high temperature, fast or irregular heart rate, low blood pressure, yellowness in the eye/skin, confusion, or fits to your doctor immediately.
