Shofu Hy-Bond CX-Smart Luting GIC is a dual-cure glass ionomer cement (GIC) designed for the permanent cementation of various dental restorations. This resin-free formulation offers both chemical and light activation, providing flexibility in clinical procedures.

This luting cement is indicated for the permanent cementation of cast metal, porcelain fused to metal (PFM) crown and bridge restorations, inlays, onlays, dental posts, and metal orthodontic appliances. It is supplied as a powder and liquid system, intended for hand mixing with a plastic spatula.

Mixing and Handling Protocol: Supplied as a powder and liquid, requiring hand mixing with a plastic spatula within 30 seconds.
Setting and Working Characteristics: Offers a working time of 2 minutes from the start of mixing at 23 °C and a setting time of approximately 2 minutes 30 seconds after seating the restoration at 37 °C.
Regulatory Standard: The setting time is stipulated in ISO 9917-1, and the product complies with industry standards and regulations.
