Shofu Glasionomer Rx Ease Restorative GIC - Regular is a Type II restorative glass ionomer cement, engineered with advanced DUAL technology. This formulation integrates High Trans Fluoroaluminosilicate Glass (HT Glass) in the powder and High Functional Polycarboxylic Acid Co-Polymer in the liquid, enhancing both the optical and physical properties of the material. This innovative composition results in a versatile restorative solution that delivers superior mechanical strength, acid resistance, and bond strength.

This restorative material is indicated for a broad spectrum of dental applications, including anterior Class III and Class V restorations, cervical erosions, root abrasions, and wedge-shaped defects. It is also suitable for pediatric and geriatric restorations, provisional or transient fillings, and conservative, minimally invasive techniques such as Atraumatic Restorative Treatment (ART). Additionally, it can be utilized for non-load-bearing Class I and Class II restorations in posterior teeth. The material is radiopaque, allowing for clear visibility on X-rays, and is biocompatible for safe use within the oral cavity.

The Shofu Glasionomer Rx Ease Restorative GIC - Regular is designed for a hand mix method, requiring one scoop of powder and one drop of liquid to be thoroughly mixed on a mixing pad until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. It offers a working time of 2 minutes 00 seconds from the start of mixing at 23°C, and a setting time of 2 minutes 20 seconds at 37°C, facilitating efficient contouring and shaping before final setting. The material is available in a Yellow Brown shade, which optimizes translucency for a natural aesthetic appearance, particularly in anterior applications.
