Orikam Neocem Type 2 High Strength Restorative GIC

Orikam Neocem Type 2 High Strength Restorative GIC is a universal restorative glass ionomer cement formulated for a broad spectrum of dental applications. This material is indicated for the restoration of deciduous teeth, core build-ups, and atraumatic restorative treatments (ART). It is also suitable for Class III, V, and limited Class I restorations, and can be effectively utilized in lamination or sandwich techniques.

The cement is supplied as a hand-mix powder and liquid system. The powder component consists of a blend of silica and fluorides of aluminum, calcium, and sodium, while the liquid contains polyacrylic acid and copolymer in water. For preparation, one scoop of powder is mixed with one drop of liquid on a mixing pad using a spatula to achieve a smooth, homogeneous paste. This formulation provides a working time of 1 minute 30 seconds and achieves a complete setting within 2 minutes 30 seconds.
