Voco Ionofil Plus Powder is a radiopaque glass ionomer cement designed for a variety of dental restorative applications. This material utilizes advanced glass ionomer technology to ensure strong chemical bonding to both dentin and enamel, promoting secure and long-lasting restorations. It is suitable for Class III and V restorations, core build-ups, and as a base material under composite fillings, as well as for the restoration of deciduous teeth, V-shaped defects, cervical enamel erosions, root erosions, Class I fillings, and linings.

The powder/liquid system of Voco Ionofil Plus allows for a smooth mix consistency, facilitating ease of application and precise restorations, even in hard-to-reach areas. It exhibits a spreadable consistency and good marginal adaptation, ensuring a precise fit to cavity walls. The recommended mixing ratio is 4.7-5.6 g of powder to 1 g of liquid, with a mixing time typically lasting 30-40 seconds, not exceeding 1 minute.

Voco Ionofil Plus offers a working time of approximately 2-3 minutes following mixing, allowing adequate time for placement and shaping. The material sets within approximately 2.5 minutes, with a total setting time typically observed at 5-6 minutes after application. Additionally, it provides continuous fluoride release, which aids in remineralization and offers ongoing protection against secondary caries.
