The Orasore 10gm Gel contains:

  • Choline Salicylate 8.7% W/W (active ingredient).
  • Lidocaine Hydrochloride 2.0% W/W (active ingredient).
  • Preservative: Benzalkonium Chloride.
  • Pleasantly flavoured base (Spearmint, Fennel) with Glycerine.

Dosage and Administration

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the gel.
  2. Apply a small amount of gel directly to the affected area using a clean fingertip or cotton bud.
  3. Typically, apply 3 to 4 times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
  4. Avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 to 60 minutes after application to allow the gel to work effectively.

 

Storage and Disposal

  • Store Orasore 10gm Gel below 30°C in a clean and dry place.
  • Keep the medicine away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not freeze.

Precautions and Safety

  • Orasore 10gm Gel is for topical oral use only and should not be swallowed in large amounts.
  • Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Exercise caution if you are taking aspirin or other salicylate-containing medicines, or blood-thinning medications like Warfarin or Heparin, as this gel contains salicylate.
  • Not recommended for children and adolescents under the age of 16. Consult a doctor for use in younger children.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.
  • Be careful when consuming hot food or liquids after application, as the gel can cause temporary numbness of the tongue and mouth surface, increasing the risk of burns.
  • Consult a doctor if mouth ulcers persist for more than a week or if pain continues.

 

Side Effects and Risks

  • Mild irritation, temporary tingling, or a burning sensation at the application site.
  • Temporary numbness or tingling in and around the mouth.
  • Rare allergic reactions such as swelling or rash.
  • Excessive swallowing of the gel may lead to salicylate toxicity, with symptoms including dizziness, ringing in the ears, and deafness. Seek immediate medical attention if this occurs.
