GC Gold Label 9 Extra / Fuji IX Extra (Powder-Liquid) Restorative GIC in shade A2 is a high-strength, strontium-based glass ionomer cement engineered for durable dental restorations. This restorative material is specifically indicated for Class I and small Class II restorations in non-load bearing areas, Class I and Class II restorations in deciduous teeth, transitional restorations, base/core build-ups, Class V and root surface restorations, and as an intermediate restorative material.

Formulated with strontium glass, this material offers superior radiopacity and contributes to internal remineralization by mimicking calcium in the formation of strontium hydroxyapatite and strontium fluoroapatite, thereby reinforcing tooth structure. It provides a consistent, predictable seal through ion exchange with the tooth and strengthens over time when exposed to saliva, ensuring long-lasting restorations.

The Powder-Liquid formulation allows for a precise hand mix, with a standard powder-to-liquid ratio of 3.4g/1.0g. Dental professionals benefit from a working time of 1 minute 15 seconds from the start of mixing, enabling efficient placement. Final finishing can commence rapidly, in just 2 minutes 30 seconds from the initial mix, optimizing chairside time.

The prepared cavity is conditioned using the GC Dentin Conditioner containing 10% polyacrylic acid.
Mix and place the restorative material in the prepared cavity.
When the glossy appearance begins to disappear, apply GC Cocoa Butter for moisture protection.
Final finishing can begin after 6 minutes from start of mix.
