Constructed from a copolymer of glycolic acid and trimethylene carbonate, also known as polyglyconate, the V-Loc 180 suture features a unique barbed design with a dual-angle cut. This design allows for secure tissue approximation by distributing tension evenly along the wound, eliminating the necessity of tying surgical knots. The suture gradually absorbs over approximately 180 days, maintaining tensile strength during the critical healing phase.

This device is supplied as a sterile, single-use product, ensuring patient safety and preventing cross-contamination. It is inert, noncollagenous, and nonantigenic, contributing to its biocompatibility.
