Healthium Trulon 3-0 is manufactured from polyamide (nylon), a monofilament material that elicits minimal initial inflammatory reaction in tissue followed by gradual encapsulation by fibrous connective tissue. The material provides excellent tensile strength with smooth texture to minimize tissue trauma during approximation and ligation.

This is a non-absorbable suture. While the suture itself is not absorbed, progressive hydrolysis may result in gradual loss of tensile strength over time in vivo, making it suitable for applications requiring long-term wound support except where permanent retention of tensile strength is required.

The suture is supplied with a 3/8 circle reverse cutting needle measuring 26mm in length. This needle design is optimized for skin closure and soft tissue approximation in surgical procedures.

This suture is indicated for skin closure and surgical procedures requiring soft tissue approximation and/or ligation where a non-absorbable suture with long-term wound support is needed. It provides excellent support during the critical wound healing period with predictable knot security.

Healthium Trulon 3-0 is sterilized by ethylene oxide and maintains sterility with a shelf life of 5 years from manufacture, ensuring reliable single-use performance when stored under appropriate conditions.

The suture features excellent elasticity and smooth texture that enables smooth knot tie-down with excellent knot security. These properties combine to provide improved handling characteristics compared to standard monofilament sutures while maintaining minimal tissue reaction.
