Apnat 60mg Tablet contains Apalutamide 60mg, an anti-cancer medication used in the treatment of prostate cancer.

• Excipients: colloidal anhydrous silica, croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate.

Dosage and Administration

1. The usual recommended dose is 240 mg (four 60 mg tablets) taken orally once daily.
2. Take the medicine at approximately the same time each day, with or without food.
3. Swallow the tablets whole; do not split, chew, or crush them.
4. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible on the same day. Do not take extra tablets to make up for the missed dose; return to the normal schedule the following day.
5. Apnat 60mg Tablet is typically used in combination with a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analog or after bilateral orchiectomy.
6. Your doctor may adjust the dose based on your condition and tolerance.

Storage and Disposal

• Store at room temperature between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F).

Precautions and Safety

• Caution is required while driving or operating machinery as it may cause dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, and increase the risk of falls.
• Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment as it may affect effectiveness.
• Monitor for signs and symptoms of ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular disorders.
• Serious skin reactions (e.g., Stevens-Johnson syndrome, DRESS) can occur; seek medical attention if blistering, peeling, or rash develops.

Side Effects and Risks

• Common side effects include fatigue or tiredness, skin rash, hypertension (high blood pressure), hot flush or flashes, arthralgia (joint pain), diarrhea, falls, weight loss, decreased appetite, nausea, muscle cramps, hair thinning or loss, dizziness, and headache.
• Serious side effects requiring immediate medical attention include severe allergic reactions (swelling, difficulty breathing, severe rash), seizures, heart problems (e.g., arrhythmias, chest pain, heart attack, stroke), severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, DRESS), liver dysfunction, severe headache, confusion, slurred speech, arm or leg weakness, trouble walking, and sudden vision changes.
