The 3M™ Tegaderm™ IV Advanced Film Dressing is a sterile, transparent film dressing engineered for advanced securement of IV catheter insertion sites and protection of minor wounds. This dressing, measuring 8.5cm x 11cm, is designed to deliver consistent securement and patient comfort through its innovative features.

Utilizing a highly breathable transparent film, the dressing allows for effective oxygen and moisture vapor exchange while providing a waterproof barrier against external contaminants, including liquids, bacteria, and viruses. Its comfort adhesive technology, featuring a dual-patterned adhesive system, balances strong hold with gentle removal, helping to manage moisture and improve wear time.

Designed to minimize catheter movement and dislodgement, the dressing incorporates advanced securement features such as a force-shifting notch, stabilization strips, and a reinforced border. These elements work synergistically to maintain securement by preventing edge lift and flexing with patient movement, supporting wear times of up to 7 days for PIVs and CVCs.
