The 3M™ Tegaderm™ Film Dressing, measuring 10cm x 12cm, is a transparent film dressing designed for comprehensive wound and catheter site management. It is engineered to cover and protect catheter sites and wounds, maintain a moist environment conducive to wound healing, and securely hold medical devices to the skin.

This dressing is constructed with a thin, semi-permeable film that allows for extended wear time and continuous visibility of the application site, thereby minimizing the need for frequent dressing changes. The breathable film facilitates moisture vapor and oxygen exchange, while simultaneously providing a waterproof, sterile barrier against external contaminants such as liquids, bacteria, and viruses. In vitro testing has demonstrated that the transparent film acts as a viral barrier for viruses 27 nm in diameter or larger, provided the dressing remains intact without leakage.
