The 3M™ Tegaderm™ CHG Dressing with Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an advanced transparent film securement dressing designed for comprehensive IV site care. This dressing, measuring 7cm X 8.5cm, is engineered to cover and protect catheter sites while actively reducing the risk of vascular catheter colonization and catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSI). Integrating a transparent adhesive film with a 2% w/w Chlorhexidine Gluconate (CHG) gel pad, this sterile dressing provides immediate and continuous antimicrobial protection. The breathable film creates a waterproof, sterile barrier against external contaminants, including liquids, bacteria, and viruses 27 nm in diameter or larger, while allowing for continuous site visibility to monitor for early signs of infection. The adhesive is hypoallergenic and not made with natural rubber latex, making it suitable for patients with sensitivities.

This securement dressing is indicated for a broad range of clinical applications, including central venous catheters (such as subclavian, jugular, femoral, and PICCs), short peripheral and midline venous catheters, arterial catheters, epidural catheters, and dialysis catheters.
