SDI Super Etch Etchant - Jumbo is a 37% phosphoric acid gel formulation designed for precise enamel and dentin conditioning in dental restorative procedures. This etchant plays a crucial role in preparing dental surfaces to achieve optimal adherence of various restorative materials.

The phosphoric acid gel works by creating micropores in the enamel surface and effectively removing the smear layer to unblock dentinal tubules. This action promotes adhesive resin penetration and resin tag formation, which is vital for the mechanical retention and long-term success of dental restorations. It is indicated for use in conjunction with adhesives, composites, compomers, glass ionomers, sealants, and cements, and can also be used to clean porcelain.

Formulated as a thixotropic gel, Super Etch offers high viscosity and controlled flow, allowing for precise placement without slumping. The etchant is dispensed directly from a syringe, often supplied as two 25mL syringes for a total of 50mL, and features a blue color indicator for high visibility, ensuring thorough and uniform coverage during application.
