Shofu Zirconomer Improved Universal is a reinforced glass ionomer dental restorative material engineered for a broad spectrum of clinical applications. This innovative material is particularly suited for posterior restorations and structural core build-ups, delivering exceptional strength and durability. It is also indicated for Class I & II cavities in deciduous and selected permanent teeth, as well as for the repair of fractured amalgam restored teeth and crown margins.
Enhanced with special zirconia fillers, Zirconomer Improved offers superior mechanical properties and sustained fluoride release, providing anti-cariogenic benefits and protection against tooth decay. This material chemically bonds to both enamel and dentin, exhibiting a tooth-like coefficient of thermal expansion that minimizes interfacial stresses and the potential for failure. Unlike silver amalgam, Zirconomer Improved is mercury-free, addressing health concerns related to mercury exposure, and does not corrode, ensuring long-term stability.
