Shofu Beautibond Etchant - 6ml

Shofu BeautiBond is a light-curing, self-etching one-component dental adhesive, representing a 7th generation bonding system. This adhesive is formulated for a wide range of clinical applications, including the bonding of filling composites to natural enamel and dentin. It is indicated for both anterior and posterior restorations, direct restorations with light-cured composite resin, and the repair of fractured restorations. Additionally, BeautiBond can be utilized for post cementation, core build-up, sealing of tooth preparations for indirect restorations, and the treatment of hypersensitive teeth or exposed root surfaces.

The formulation of BeautiBond is HEMA-free, which contributes to minimizing post-operative sensitivity and gingival blanching. Its unique chemistry incorporates dual adhesive monomers: a phosphonic acid monomer that enhances bonding to enamel and a carboxylic acid monomer that facilitates a strong bond to dentin. This dual adhesive system ensures high shear bond strength to both enamel and dentin, comparable to leading sixth-generation alternatives. The adhesive creates a thin, bubble-free bonding layer of approximately 5µm, which aids in the adaptation of restorative materials and helps prevent marginal discoloration.

The application protocol for BeautiBond is designed for efficiency, allowing for etching, priming, and bonding in a single application within approximately 30 seconds. This single-step process eliminates the need for separate etching and priming steps, simplifying the clinical workflow.
