Pyrax Type I Luting GIC is a Glass Ionomer Cement (GIC) Type I Lute, a versatile dental material designed for the fixation of crowns, bridges, inlays, and orthodontic brackets.
This cement is composed of a radiopaque fine glass powder and an organic polymer liquid, specifically Calcium-alumina-fluorosilicate glass powder and Polyacrylic acid liquid. It offers excellent tooth adhesion and high fluoride release, which helps to strengthen enamel and prevent decay. Pyrax Type I Luting GIC is also effective as a cavity liner under all restorative materials, providing a protective barrier.
Glass Ionomer Cements generally conform to ISO 9917-1:2007 standards and fall under Class IIa of the EU Council Directive 93/42/EEC concerning medical devices. The product is manufactured in India.
