Dosage and Administration

  1. Always use Budecort 0.5mg 2ml Respules as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage is individualized based on the patient's needs.
  2. Administer the medicine using a jet nebulizer equipped with a mouthpiece or a suitable face mask. Do not use an ultrasonic nebulizer.
  3. Gently shake the respule before use. Detach one respule from the strip and squeeze its entire contents into the nebulizer cup.
  4. Inhale the fine mist calmly and deeply through the mouthpiece or face mask until the nebulizer cup is empty.
  5. After each inhalation, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out to help prevent fungal infections.
  6. Do not discontinue treatment without consulting your doctor, even if symptoms improve.

 

Storage and Disposal

  • Store Budecort Respules upright in their original foil envelope at controlled room temperature, between 20-25°C (68-77°F).
  • Protect from light and moisture. Do not freeze the respules.
  • Once the foil envelope is opened, any unused ampules should be returned to the envelope and used within 2 weeks.
  • An opened respule must be used promptly. Do not use expired respules.
  • Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Precautions and Safety

  • Budecort 0.5mg 2ml Respules is a preventive medication and will not provide immediate relief during an acute asthma attack. Always carry a fast-acting reliever for sudden symptoms.
  • Rinse your mouth with water after each use to minimize the risk of oral fungal infections (thrush).
