The 3M™ Littmann® Classic III™ Monitoring Stethoscope (5959) is engineered for comprehensive physical assessments, enabling medical professionals to identify, listen to, and study heart, lung, and other body sounds for patient monitoring and diagnosis. This model features a two-sided chestpiece with tunable diaphragms on both the adult and paediatric sides, offering high acoustic sensitivity for exceptional performance.

The stethoscope's design incorporates a precision-machined stainless steel chestpiece with a "Mirror Chestpiece" finish. The single-piece tunable diaphragm is designed for ease of attachment and cleaning due to its smooth, crevice-free surface. The paediatric side of the chestpiece can be converted to a traditional open bell by replacing the single-piece diaphragm with a non-chill rim.

Safety and durability are enhanced by next-generation tubing, which provides longer life due to improved resistance to skin oils and alcohol, and is less likely to pick up stains. This tubing is not made with natural rubber latex and does not contain phthalate plasticizers, benefiting sensitive medical professionals and patients. Snap-tight eartips feature a soft, smooth surface, providing a comfortable acoustic seal and secure fit.
