The 3M Littmann Cardiology IV Stethoscope, model 6200, is a diagnostic instrument engineered for healthcare professionals requiring exceptional acoustic performance and precision in clinical assessments. This stethoscope is designed to detect subtle heart, lung, and other body sounds, making it suitable for use in critical care and challenging environments such as emergency departments, intensive care units, cardiac intensive care units, and step-down units. It aids in isolating subtle sounds critical for patient assessment, including those related to aortic stenosis, S3 gallop murmurs, and faint pulmonary anomalies.

The Cardiology IV Stethoscope features a "Black Finish Chestpiece", "Red Stem", and "Black Headset" with a "Black Tube". It is equipped with dual-frequency diaphragms on both sides of the chestpiece, allowing for precise auscultation of both high and low-frequency sounds. The tunable diaphragm technology enables clinicians to hear different frequencies by simply adjusting the pressure applied to the chestpiece. The 27-inch "Black Tube" incorporates dual-lumen technology, which minimizes sound interference and ensures clear, accurate sound transmission. The pediatric side of the chestpiece can be converted to a traditional open bell by replacing the single-piece diaphragm with the included non-chill sleeve.
