The 3M™ Littmann® Cardiology IV™ Stethoscope (6240) is engineered for clinicians who require exceptional acoustic performance and precision in diagnosing and making decisions with confidence. It is designed to help users hear subtle changes in patient status and isolate hard-to-hear sounds, including aortic stenosis, S3 gallop murmurs, and faint pulmonary anomalies. This stethoscope is useful in critical care and challenging environments such as the ED, ICU, Cardiac ICU, step-down unit, and other dynamic locations, and is designed for use with both adult and pediatric patients.

Featuring a tunable, dual-sided stainless steel chestpiece with an open or closed bell, the Cardiology IV™ boasts an ergonomic and high-profile construction, with a 40% larger chestpiece and 60% deeper bell than the 3M™ Littmann® Classic III™ Stethoscope. Its dual-lumen tubing combines two sound paths in one tube, effectively eliminating the rubbing noise associated with traditional double tubes. The next-generation tubing is not made with natural rubber latex or phthalate plasticizers, which improves resistance to skin oils and alcohol, and is less likely to pick up stains.
