The 3M Littmann Cardiology IV Stethoscope, Model 6205, is engineered for healthcare professionals to diagnose and make decisions with confidence by enabling the perception of subtle changes in patient status. This stethoscope is particularly useful in critical care and challenging environments such as the ED, ICU, Cardiac ICU, step-down unit, and other dynamic locations. It is designed for use with both adult and pediatric patients, facilitating the auscultation of heart, lung, and other body sounds for medical diagnostic purposes.

Featuring a tunable, dual-sided stainless steel chestpiece, the stethoscope allows for listening with either an open or closed bell. The adult diaphragm measures 1.7 inches (4.3 cm) and the pediatric diaphragm measures 1.3 inches (3.3 cm). Its overall length is 69 cm (27 inches). The design provides better audibility of high-frequency sounds and helps isolate subtle sounds, including hard-to-hear sounds like aortic stenosis, S3 gallop murmurs, and faint pulmonary anomalies.

For patient comfort, the stethoscope includes a non-chill bell sleeve. Soft-sealing ear-tips ensure optimal comfort and excellent sound occlusion. The dual-lumen tubing combines two sound paths in one tube, effectively eliminating the rubbing noise often associated with traditional double tubes.
