The 3M Ketac Universal Kit Restorative GIC - A3 is a glass ionomer cement designed for universal application in dental restorative procedures. This self-adhesive and self-curing material is suitable for both anterior and posterior restorations, offering a versatile solution for dental professionals. It is also indicated for linings for single- and multiple-surface composite fillings, core build-up prior to crown placement, primary tooth fillings, restricted stress-bearing Class I and Class II restorations, cervical fillings, single- and multi-surface temporary fillings, and fissure sealing.

This restorative material simplifies the clinical workflow by eliminating the need for a conditioner or coating prior to placement. The Ketac Universal restorative is mixed by hand, initiating an acid-base setting reaction. It is radiopaque, facilitating easy identification on radiographs, and continuously releases fluoride for over 24 months, contributing to the prevention of secondary caries.

Engineered for robust performance, 3M Ketac Universal exhibits a high compressive strength of 249 ± 14 MPa. It offers a working time of 3 minutes, allowing for efficient placement and sculptability. The material achieves high surface hardness values within 10 minutes after the start of setting, ensuring early maturation and durability.
