Endotracheal intubation (EI) serves as a critical life saving measure, particularly in emergency situations where individuals are unable to breathe independently. Administered under anaesthesia, this procedure involves inserting a flexible plastic tube into the trachea through the mouth, ensuring an open airway and preventing suffocation. Tailored to the individual's age and throat dimensions, the size of the breathing tube is carefully selected to optimize airflow. Once inserted, a small cuff of air inflates around the tube, securing its position within the trachea.
