Proper Usage and Techniques:

When cleaning a wound with a medical gauze swab, follow aseptic non-touch technique:

• Wash hands and wear disposable gloves if possible.
• Grasp the gauze sachet in one hand at the corner, open it, and peel back the paper.
• Hold the gauze swab by the corner and use it to clean the wound.
• If unable to hold by the corner, use tweezers.
• Run the wound under clean water.
• Soak the medical gauze swab in saline wound wash.
• Gently dab or wipe the wound, avoiding antiseptic to prevent skin damage.
