• To insert a scalp vein catheter, align it with the vein and advance it with the bevel up at a 30-degree angle until you see blood in the chamber, indicating successful vein puncture. 
• Then, lower the angle to around 10 degrees, advance the catheter into the vein, and retract the needle. Apply pressure downstream on the vein to prevent blood leakage.
• Secure the catheter with transparent film dressing and attach a syringe or IV tubing for sampling or administration.
•  Flush with saline, monitor for fluid leakage, and use gauze under the hub for comfort.
• Stabilize the catheter using methods like a plastic medicine cup.
