Dosage and Administration

  1. Take Zocef 500mg Tablet with food for optimum absorption and to help reduce stomach upset.
  2. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not break, crush, or chew it.
  3. The usual dosage is twice daily (every 12 hours), but the exact dose and duration will be determined by your doctor based on the type and severity of your infection.
  4. Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed, even if you start feeling better, to prevent the infection from returning and to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.

 

Storage and Disposal

  • Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Store at room temperature, typically between 10-30°C.

Precautions and Safety

  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of allergies to cefuroxime, other cephalosporins, or any other beta-lactam antibiotics like penicillins.
