The Woodpecker Endo Free Endomotor is an advanced cordless device engineered to enhance the efficiency and precision of endodontic treatments. It is primarily utilized for the preparation and enlargement of root canals.


This endomotor is equipped with a high-efficiency brushless motor, which ensures quiet operation, extended longevity, and minimal noise during procedures, thereby improving the experience for both clinicians and patients. Brushless motors are recognized for offering a significantly longer service life compared to traditional brush motors.


The Endo Free Endomotor seamlessly integrates with a compatible Apex locator, enabling precise real-time measurement of the root canal and continuous monitoring of the file tip's position within the canal. This integration activates advanced safety features, such as Apical Slow Down, which automatically reduces the file speed as it approaches the apex.

A)Initial Setup and Charging
>Charging the Handpiece:
1. Connect the provided power adapter to a suitable power source (100V-240V 50Hz/60Hz 0.4A Max).
2. Plug the USB wire into the motor handpiece to initiate charging.
3. Ensure the motor handpiece is fully charged before beginning the procedure.
>Assembling the Contra Angle:
1. Align the contra angle's locating pin with the positioning slot on the motor handpiece.
2. Slide the contra angle horizontally until the four locating pins are securely in place. Listen for the ""click"" sound to confirm installation.
3. Rotate the contra angle 360° for optimal visibility of the OLED display.
>Installing the File:
1. Insert the file into the contra angle by pressing the push button.
2. Rotate the file back and forth until it locks into place with the latch groove.
3. Release the push button to secure the file in the contra angle


B)Device Operation
>Powering On the Handpiece:
1. Press the main button to turn on the motor handpiece, which will enter Standby mode.
2. Press the main button again to switch to Working mode and start the device.
>Selecting an Operation Mode:
1. In Standby mode, press the Setting button “P” to cycle through available operation modes: CW, CCW, REC, or ATR.
2. Use the Adjusting buttons “+” and “-” to select the desired mode for the procedure.
>Adjusting Operational Parameters:
1. Speed Control: Adjust speed between 100 r/min and 1500 r/min using the adjusting buttons. In ATR and REC modes, the speed is limited to 100 r/min to 500 r/min.
2. Torque Settings: Set the torque range between 0.4N·cm and 4.2N·cm. In ATR mode, the range is 0.4N·cm to 4.0N·cm, and in REC mode, it is 2.0N·cm to 4.2N·cm.
3. Angle Adjustments: Adjust forward and reverse angles in 10-degree increments to optimize the cutting angle for the selected file.
>Using Automatic Functions:
1. When connected to a matched Apex locator, configure automatic functions such as Apical Action, Auto Start, Auto Stop, and Apical Slow Down to improve precision and safety during treatment.
2. Set these functions according to your clinical needs for optimal control.
C) Finishing the Procedure
>Turning Off the Device:

Hold the Setting button “P” and press the main button to power off the motor handpiece safely.
>Removing the File and Contra Angle:
1. Press and hold the push button on the contra angle and remove the file gently.
2. Once the file is removed, detach the contra angle by pulling it horizontally from the motor handpiece when it’s not in use.


D) Cleaning and Sterilization
>Cleaning the Contra Angle:
1. After each use, clean the contra angle using a neutral pH disinfectant to remove any debris or contaminants.
2. Lubricate the contra angle with cleaning oil to ensure smooth functionality.
>Sterilizing the Contra Angle:

Sterilize the contra angle by subjecting it to high temperatures (134°C) and pressure (2.0-2.3 bar) for effective disinfection.


E)Maintenance and Inspection
>Regular Inspections

Regularly inspect the device for any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction to ensure it operates optimally.
>Testing the Connection

Before every use, test the device connection by touching the lip hook with the file in the contra angle. Ensure all bars light up on the meter and the motor reverses as expected to confirm the device is working properly.
