Ultradent Viscostat Clear Gel Hemostat is a hemostatic agent designed to effectively arrest oral capillary bleeding and sulcular fluids. It is particularly recommended for use in anterior restorations and the esthetic zone due to its ability to eliminate minor bleeding without leaving residue or stain.

This viscous yet spreadable gel contains 25% aluminum chloride in an aqueous vehicle. Its patented tissue-kind silica formula quickly stops minor bleeding without forming coagulum or leaving hemostatic residue adhered to the preparation. The formulation ensures that it will not stain hard or soft tissues and rinses off easily.

Viscostat Clear Gel Hemostat is intended for sulcus retraction prior to impression making and for controlling bleeding and gingival oozing during restorative and operative dentistry procedures. Unlike ferric sulfate-based hemostatic solutions, it does not interfere with bonding. The "Indispense Refill" format provides convenient direct delivery.
