The Ivoclar Vivadent Tetric N-Ceram Syringe Refill, shade C2, is a light-curing, radiopaque nano-hybrid composite resin. This universal composite is engineered for direct restorative procedures in both anterior and posterior teeth, accommodating a wide range of applications including Class I, II, III, IV, and V restorations in primary and permanent dentition.

Leveraging nano-optimized filler technology, Tetric N-Ceram exhibits low polymerization shrinkage and a high radiopacity of 400% Al, which significantly aids in the radiographic detection of secondary caries. The material's nano-modifier ensures optimal stability, excellent sculptability, and convenient handling properties, preventing adhesion to dental instruments.

This composite resin features efficient light-curing characteristics, enabling thorough polymerization in as little as 10 seconds when exposed to a light intensity of ≥ 1,100 mW/cm².

Tooth Preparation: Clean the tooth and ensure proper isolation. Prepare the cavity as per clinical requirements.
Etching: Apply 37% phosphoric acid to enamel for 15–20 seconds and dentin for 10–15 seconds. Rinse thoroughly and gently air dry.
Bonding: Apply a compatible bonding agent uniformly. Air thin and light cure as per manufacturer’s instructions.
Composite Placement: Place the composite in increments not exceeding 2 mm. Adapt each layer carefully to avoid voids.
Light Curing: Cure each increment using a suitable curing light for the recommended time.
Finishing & Polishing: Shape the restoration, then finish and polish to achieve proper anatomy, occlusion, and a smooth, aesthetic surface.
