Rabishield 100Iu Injection

Rabishield 100IU Injection is a rabies human monoclonal antibody designed for passive immunization as a critical component of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) against rabies infection. It is indicated for individuals with suspected rabies exposure, providing immediate protective antibodies to neutralize the rabies virus and prevent its progression into clinical disease.

This biologic is administered by a trained healthcare professional, with the full dose infiltrated into and around the wound site if anatomically feasible. Any remaining volume is then injected intramuscularly at a site distant from where the rabies vaccine is administered. Rabishield 100IU Injection must always be given concurrently with a rabies vaccine to ensure comprehensive protection.

Manufactured by Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd., Rabishield 100IU Injection is approved in India for post-exposure prophylaxis of rabies infection and was prequalified by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2018. It requires cold-chain storage between 2°C and 8°C and must not be frozen to maintain its efficacy.
