The Meril Filaprop Suture 8-0 - PPL80 8101BL is a non-absorbable polypropylene surgical suture designed for secure wound closure and long-term tissue support. This suture is suitable for various surgical applications, including cardiovascular, neurological, ophthalmic procedures, and skin closure (intracutaneous, subcutaneous).

Composed of an isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene, this monofilament, synthetic suture is biologically inert, minimizing tissue reaction. The suture is pigmented blue for enhanced visibility during surgical procedures.

Each Meril Filaprop Suture is sterile, ensuring patient safety and reducing the risk of infection. It is intended for single-use only to prevent cross-contamination and potential device failure. The suture complies with the requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia for “Non Absorbable Surgical Suture” and the European Pharmacopeia for “Sterile Synthetic Non Absorbable monofilament Strand”.
