J Mitra Advantage Mal Card Test Kit Pack of 50 Tests

J Mitra Advantage Mal Card Test Kit is a visual rapid malaria qualitative immunoassary test kit that detects pLDH antigen in human whole blood. Its F line detects P. falciparum-specific pLDH, and its P (Pan) line detects pLDH from all Plasmodium species. Together they separate P. falciparum from P. vivax, P. malariae, and P. ovale infection.

The test works on the sandwich principle, and this no-reader malaria test kit shows purplish-pink colored bands at 20 minutes indicative of a positive test result. All reactive samples should be confirmed by a supplemental assay like microscopic examination of thick smear and thin blood films. With 50 tests per pack, this Mal Card test kit suits the requirement of hospitals, laboratories, and clinics alike.

How to Use

1. Collect the sample (venous or fresh finger-prick); however, fresh samples give the best performance, so test immediately after collection.
2. Ensure the sample handling practices are followed. Do not use hemolysed, clotted, lipemic, or microbially contaminated samples.
3. Bring the malaria test kit and the sample to room temperature (20–30°C). Take the card out of the foil pouch, place it on a flat, dry surface, and use it immediately.
4. Do not use it if the desiccant has turned pink.
5. Label the patient's name for record & prepare the buffer. Tap the vial upright, invert the cap, press it onto the nozzle, and give a half-turn to puncture it.
6. Fill the dropper to the mark with 4 µL of venous or finger-prick blood. Press the tip onto the sample pad in well S of the Advantage Mal Card Test Kit.
7. Add 3 free-falling drops of buffer to well B.
8. Wait for 20 minutes after adding the buffer for lines to appear on the reading window. Do not read the result after 20 minutes. Reading beyond prescribed time may give false results.

How to Read

1. Check the C line first to appear on the reading window. If it's missing, the test is invalid; the test has to be repeated with a fresh Mal Card Test.
2. Use below table to interpret the indicative results of reaction
3. Discard the card immediately after use according to biomedical waste disposal protocols.

Storage :

• Do not freeze, and protect it from humidity.
• Store the malaria test kit at 4–30°C in a cool, dry place.
• Do not use if dessicant turns pink

Handling :

• It is used for in vitro diagnostic use only and should be run by healthcare professional only.
• Use a separate dropper for each sample to avoid contamination.
