Brand Ivoclar Vivadent

Ivoclar Vivadent ExciTE F Refill Bonding Agent is a light‑curing, fluoride‑releasing, single‑component total‑etch adhesive designed for reliable bonding in a wide range of restorative procedures. It is suitable for both direct composite and compomer restorations as well as indirect restorations when used with light‑cured resin luting cements.
Key Features
Light‑curing total‑etch adhesive — activated by curing light for controlled polymerization
Fluoride‑releasing formula — supports long‑term enamel/dentin protection
Single‑component system — simple one‑step application
Versatile use — effective for direct and indirect restorations

Product Name: Ivoclar Vivadent ExciTE F Refill Bonding Agent
Type: Light‑curing, fluoride‑releasing adhesive
Mode: Total‑etch (etch and rinse)
Composition: Single component
Indications:
Direct restorations: composites, compomers
Indirect restorations: ceramics, composite restorations used with light‑cured luting cements

Tooth Preparation
Clean enamel and dentin; isolate the tooth.
Etch with 37% phosphoric acid:
Enamel: 15–30 seconds
Dentin: 10–15 seconds
Rinse thoroughly and gently air dry — dentin should remain slightly moist.
2. Apply Ivoclar Vivadent ExciTE F
Dispense adhesive onto etched surfaces.
Scrub into enamel and dentin for approximately 15 seconds to ensure proper infiltration.
3. Air Dry
Gently air thin to remove solvents and create a uniform adhesive layer.
4. Light Cure
Cure with a dental light for 10–20 seconds, depending on light intensity.
5. Restore Tooth
Direct restorations: Place light‑cured composite or compomer.
Indirect restorations: Seat restoration using a compatible light‑cured resin luting cement.
Clinical Tips
Maintain controlled moisture — avoid over‑drying dentin.
Fluoride release helps reduce postoperative sensitivity and secondary caries.
Ensure proper light-curing to achieve full polymerization.
Important Notes
ExciTE F is a total-etch adhesive — always use phosphoric acid etching first.
For thick or non-translucent indirect restorations, consider curing strategy adjustments.Tooth Preparation
