• Isolate the tooth using a rubber dam.
• Prepare access opening and determine working length.
• Apply 17% EDTA solution into the root canal using a syringe with side-vented irrigation needle or suitable applicator.
• Allow the solution to remain in the canal for approximately 1–2 minutes.

• Continue canal preparation and recapitulation as needed.
