Dentsply Glyde File Prep is a root canal conditioner formulated as a gel, designed to facilitate the chemical and mechanical cleansing of the root canal system during endodontic therapy. It is composed of Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid (EDTA) and carbamide peroxide in a water-soluble base, along with lubricating agents. The product contains 15% EDTA and 10% Carbamide Peroxide, which work synergistically to aid in root canal preparation.

This chelating agent and lubricant is intended for use by qualified dental professionals in a clinical or hospital environment for the treatment of endodontic disease. It is designed to be used in combination with sodium hypochlorite irrigation solution and shaping files to ensure comprehensive canal debridement.

Key Features :

Facilitates the easy removal of vital and necrotic pulp tissue during endodontic treatment.
Reduces the risk of instrument fracture by providing lubrication during canal instrumentation.
Helps to flush out debris from the root canal system.
Chemically cleans and removes the smear layer through the action of carbamide peroxide.
EDTA chelates calcium salts from calcified areas, softening dentine to ease canal shaping.
Ensures complete removal by rinsing due to its water-soluble formulation.
