  • Bevacizumab 400mg (active ingredient).

Dosage and Administration

  1. Bevatas 400mg Injection is administered as an intravenous infusion only, by a qualified healthcare professional in a hospital or clinic setting.
  2. The initial infusion is typically given over 90 minutes. If well-tolerated, subsequent infusions may be shortened to 60 or 30 minutes.
  3. The specific dose and duration of treatment will be determined by your oncologist, based on the type of cancer, your body weight, and overall medical condition.
  4. Do not attempt to self-administer this medicine. It should not be given as an IV push or bolus.

 

Storage and Disposal

  • Store in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C.
  • Do not freeze.
  • Protect from light and heat.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Discard any unused portion as it is a single-use vial.

Precautions and Safety

  • Bevatas 400mg Injection is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to potential harm to the unborn baby or infant.
  • Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 6 months after the final dose.
  • Inform your doctor about any pre-existing conditions such as high blood pressure, bleeding disorders, heart disease, kidney problems, liver dysfunction, or diabetes before starting treatment.
  • This medicine can impair wound healing; avoid use for at least 28 days before and after surgery, or until wounds are completely healed.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment.
  • Do not discontinue treatment without consulting your doctor, as it may worsen your condition.
  • Caution is advised in elderly patients, as they may have age-related heart or blood vessel problems.

 

Side Effects and Risks

  • Common side effects include fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, headache, hypertension, nosebleeds, mouth sores, changes in taste, and decreased white blood cell count.
  • Serious side effects can include severe bleeding (gastrointestinal, pulmonary, brain), gastrointestinal perforation, blood clots (arterial thromboembolic events, venous thromboembolic events), severe allergic reactions, high blood pressure, proteinuria (protein in urine), heart problems, and posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES).
  • Report any persistent or worsening side effects, unusual bleeding, severe abdominal pain, or neurological symptoms to your doctor immediately.
