The Anamol Dengue IgG+IgM Antibody Rapid Test kit is a rapid, qualitative immunochromatographic assay designed for the detection of IgG and IgM antibodies specific to the Dengue virus in human serum or plasma. This test is intended for professional in vitro diagnostic use and aids in the diagnosis of dengue infection. It helps distinguish between primary and secondary infections based on the presence of IgM and IgG antibodies. Primary dengue infection is typically characterized by detectable IgM antibodies 3-4 days after the onset of infection, while secondary dengue infection often shows elevated IgG antibodies 1-2 days after onset, frequently accompanied by an elevation of IgM.

The test operates on the principle of lateral flow immunoassay. The device features pre-coated lines for Dengue IgG Test Line, Dengue IgM Test Line, and a Control Line on its surface. Dengue-specific antigen complexed with gold conjugate is incorporated into the conjugate pad, and anti-human IgG and anti-human IgM are immobilized on the membrane to capture the respective antibodies present in the sample.
