Zyvac MMR 0.5ml Injection is a live attenuated viral vaccine designed for active immunization against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella virus infections. It is manufactured by Zydus Lifesciences Limited. This vaccine is a crucial component of pediatric immunization schedules, aiming to prevent serious complications associated with these highly contagious viral diseases.
Each 0.5ml dose of the vaccine, after reconstitution, contains live attenuated Measles Virus (Edmonston Zagreb Strain) propagated on Human Diploid Cells (NLT 1000 CCID50), live attenuated Mumps Virus (Hoshino Strain) propagated on Chick Fibroblast Cells (NLT 5000 CCID50), and live attenuated Rubella Virus (RA 27/3 strain) propagated on Human Diploid Cells (NLT 1000 CCID50). The vaccine is supplied as a freeze-dried preparation and must be reconstituted with the provided Sterile Water for Injections I.P. diluent prior to administration.

Approved Indications and Target Population: Indicated for the prevention of Measles, Mumps, and Rubella virus infections in children from 9 months of age, adolescents, and adults.
Cold-chain Storage: The vaccine should be stored at 2°C to 8°C both before and after reconstitution, protected from light, and must not be frozen after reconstitution.
Route and Schedule: Administered as a single 0.5ml subcutaneous injection; the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) Committee of Immunization recommends three doses at 9-12 months, 15-18 months, and 4-6 years of age.
Regulatory Approval: Meets the requirements of the Indian Pharmacopeia and received initial Indian marketing authorization on June 30, 2016.
