Tresivac PFS 0.5ml Injection is a live, attenuated vaccine formulated for active immunization against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR). This combination vaccine works by stimulating the immune system to develop protective antibodies against these three viral infections, thereby preventing disease in vaccinated individuals. It is indicated for use in infants, children, adolescents, and susceptible non-pregnant adults.
The vaccine contains live attenuated Measles virus (not less than 1000 CCID50), Mumps virus (not less than 5000 CCID50), and Rubella virus (not less than 1000 CCID50). Specifically, it includes Measles (Edmonston – Zagreb strain), Mumps (L-Zagreb strain), and Rubella (Wistar RA 27/3 strain). Tresivac PFS 0.5ml Injection is supplied as a freeze-dried vaccine in a vial, accompanied by a pre-filled syringe containing 0.5ml Sterile Water for Injections I.P. for reconstitution.
Administration of Tresivac PFS 0.5ml Injection is via the subcutaneous route and must be performed by a healthcare professional. The vaccine is manufactured by Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd. and holds regulatory approvals including FDA approval and WHO prequalification.
