Wizdent Secure GI Fill XTRA9 is a high-performance, self-curing glass ionomer restorative cement designed for a range of dental applications. This material is indicated for Class I and Class II restorations in deciduous teeth, non-stress bearing Class I and Class II restorations in permanent teeth, Class III and Class V restorations, and core build-up procedures. It is also suitable for cervical lesion restoration, root caries, pediatric restorations, the sandwich technique as a liner under composite, geriatric and pediatric dentistry, and Atraumatic Restorative Treatment (ART).

The Secure GI Fill XTRA9 formulation features specially ground powder particles that facilitate easy mixing, resulting in a packable, non-sticky consistency for effortless handling. This glass ionomer restorative adheres chemically to the tooth structure, eliminating the need for etching and bonding. It offers a high compressive strength of 258 MPa, contributing to durable, long-lasting restorations. Additionally, the material provides continuous fluoride release, which aids in preventing plaque build-up and reducing secondary caries.

The mixing protocol involves a powder/liquid dispensing ratio of 1 scoop of powder to 1 drop of liquid, mixed rapidly on a glass slab or paper pad for 30 seconds. The material provides a working time of 1 minute 30 seconds (minimum) at 23±1 °C, allowing for proper placement and contouring. It achieves a self-cure setting time of 3 minutes (maximum) at 37±1 °C.
