Pneumosil Vaccine 0.5ml Injection is a 10-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine (PCV) developed for active immunization. It is indicated for infants and toddlers from 6 weeks up to 2 years of age, providing protection against invasive disease, pneumonia, and acute otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae serotypes 1, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 19A, 19F, and 23F.

This vaccine is supplied as a 0.5ml suspension for intramuscular injection. It requires cold-chain storage between +2°C and +8°C and must not be frozen. Prior to administration, the product should be shaken vigorously to achieve a homogenous, whitish turbid liquid.

Pneumosil Vaccine is administered intramuscularly, with preferred sites being the anterolateral aspect of the thigh in infants or the deltoid muscle of the upper arm in young children. The vaccine received WHO prequalification in December 2019, facilitating its procurement by United Nations agencies and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. It also holds Indian marketing authorization since July 2020.
