Dosage and Administration

  1. Take one tablet, preferably one hour before a meal, usually in the morning.
  2. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush, chew, or break it.
  3. The dosage and duration of treatment will be decided by your doctor.
  4. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

 

Storage and Disposal

  • Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture, ideally below 30°C.
  • Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Precautions and Safety

  • Inform your doctor if you have pre-existing liver or bone problems.
  • Prolonged use (typically over three months) may lead to low magnesium levels and vitamin B12 deficiency; your doctor may advise monitoring these.
  • Long-term use (over one year) may increase the risk of bone fractures.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption during the course of treatment.
  • This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 5 years of age.
  • Symptomatic response to treatment does not rule out the presence of gastric malignancy; further diagnostic testing may be necessary.
