Dosage and Administration

  1. For Bixify Tablet 10's, the starting dose is often one 5 mg tablet taken once daily before breakfast.
  2. The usual adult dose for Elobixibat is 10 mg once daily before a meal; however, your doctor may adjust the dosage based on your symptoms, not exceeding 15 mg per day.
  3. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.
  4. It is best taken on an empty stomach before a meal.
  5. Maintain a consistent schedule by taking it at the same time each day.

 

Storage and Disposal

  • Store below 30°C, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Patients should remove tablets from the PTP (Press Through Package) sheet before taking them to avoid esophageal injury.

Precautions and Safety

  • Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, especially those affecting the digestive system, as Elobixibat may interact with certain drugs.
  • Do not use if you have a history of bowel obstruction associated with a tumor or hernia, or suspicion of such conditions, as it could worsen them.
