Bixify Tablet 10's

Bixify Tablet contains Elobixibat 5mg, an ileal bile acid transporter (IBAT) inhibitor, used to treat chronic constipation by increasing bile acid secretion in the intestines, which in turn enhances bowel movements.

The Bixify Tablet 10's contains:

• Elobixibat 5 mg (active ingredient, as Elobixibat hydrate equivalent to Elobixibat 5 mg).
• Excipients: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Mannitol, Hypromellose, Croscarmellose sodium, Colloidal Silicon Dioxide, Magnesium stearate, Opadry 03K520105 yellow, Purified Water.

Dosage and Administration

1. For Bixify Tablet 10's, the starting dose is often one 5 mg tablet taken once daily before breakfast.
2. The usual adult dose for Elobixibat is 10 mg once daily before a meal; however, your doctor may adjust the dosage based on your symptoms, not exceeding 15 mg per day.
3. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.
4. It is best taken on an empty stomach before a meal.
5. Maintain a consistent schedule by taking it at the same time each day.

Storage and Disposal

• Store below 30°C, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Patients should remove tablets from the PTP (Press Through Package) sheet before taking them to avoid esophageal injury.

Precautions and Safety

• Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, especially those affecting the digestive system, as Elobixibat may interact with certain drugs.
• Do not use if you have a history of bowel obstruction associated with a tumor or hernia, or suspicion of such conditions, as it could worsen them.
• Inform your physician if you have a serious liver disorder or gallbladder disorders, as Elobixibat may fail to achieve expected efficacy or worsen these conditions.
• Consult your doctor before taking if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
• Maintain adequate hydration and a fiber-rich diet to support the action of Elobixibat.
• Avoid taking with large, fatty meals to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort, bloating, and gas.
• Safety has not been established in low-birth-weight infants, neonates, nursing infants, infants, or pediatric patients.
