Kulzer Gluma Bond5 Refill Bonding Agent - 1 x 4ml

Kulzer Gluma Bond5 Refill Bonding Agent (1 x 4ml) is a light-cured, single-component adhesive engineered for comprehensive adhesive restorative dentistry. This 5th-generation etch & rinse adhesive is formulated for the adhesive bonding of plastic filling materials, including composites, compomers, and Polyglas®, to dental hard substances. It also facilitates the adhesive fixing of laboratory-fabricated restorations such as ceramics, Polyglas®, and composite inlays, onlays, veneers, and crowns.

The formulation of GLUMA Bond5 integrates priming, bonding, and desensitizing into a single step, streamlining clinical workflows. It contains UDMA, ethanol, HEMA, water, methacrylated polycarboxylic acid, 4-META, and glutaraldehyde, contributing to its robust performance. The adhesive forms a homogeneous hybrid layer, ensuring secure sealing and high bond strength, particularly on enamel.

For application, the prepared cavity requires pretreatment with an etching gel, followed by rinsing and careful drying to leave the dentin surface slightly damp. GLUMA Bond5 is dispensed into a mixing well, applied to the cavity, allowed to soak for 15 seconds, and then the solvent is evaporated with a gentle air stream until the surface appears visibly shiny. The adhesive is light-cured for 20 seconds using a suitable halogen or LED polymerization lamp.
