HAVshield 0.5ml PFS Injection

The HAVshield 0.5ml PFS Injection is an inactivated Hepatitis A vaccine (adsorbed) designed for active immunization against Hepatitis A virus (HAV) infection. It contains 250 IU of the inactivated HAV antigen (TZ84 Strain). This vaccine is supplied as a 0.5ml pre-filled syringe (PFS), providing a ready-to-use solution for administration.

This vaccine is indicated for pediatric use in children aged 12 months and older, as well as for adults who have not been previously vaccinated and seek protection against Hepatitis A. It is administered via intramuscular injection, typically into the upper arm (deltoid muscle). The vaccination schedule generally involves two shots, given 6 to 12 months apart, to ensure long-term protection.

Maintaining the cold chain is crucial for the efficacy of the HAVshield 0.5ml PFS Injection, requiring storage at a temperature range of 2°C to 8°C, and it must not be frozen. The vaccine is manufactured by Abbott and adheres to WHO and GMP compliant production standards.
