BPL's Aneroid Blood-Pressure Set combines a large-dial Aneroid Sphygmomanometer with ST-01 Dia Cast Stethoscope,a gold standard baseline kit that allows a nurse or physician to take a precise auscultatory reading right out of the box.The sphygmomanometer and stethoscope kit is a mercury-free replacement most suitable for OPD, emergency ambulance, wards, nursing colleges and home-visit kits.

The Aneroid sphygmomanometer uses a large aneroid dial that reads 0 to 300 mmHg with an accuracy of ±3.75 mmHg. Because there is no liquid mercury or glass, the gauge can be carried between beds and clinics without the spill or disposal issues of a mercury unit.The adult cuff is latex-free nylon with a hook-and-loop closure.The large insufflation bulb and the air-release valve are designed for one-hand operation, so the other hand holds the stethoscope chestpiece. Bulb and bladder are latex-free.

The ST-01 Dia Cast Stethoscope is BPL's most widely used choice for single-sided die-cast stethoscope with a non-chill rim, PVC tube and soft-sealing eartips.

1. Choose the cuff. The bladder should encircle 80% of the upper arm; this adult cuff fits universally. Using the correct cuff side is essential for accurate readings.
2. Check the zero. With the cuff open, the needle must rest in the zero box. If it does not, do not use the gauge; send it for calibration.
3. Take two readings one minute apart and record the average, per the Indian Hypertension Control Initiative protocol.
4. Clean. Wipe the cuff with a damp cloth and mild detergent; wipe the stethoscope with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Do not immerse the gauge or cuff.
5. Store in the case with the valve open and the bulb unsqueezed. Do not drop the gauge; a knock can shift the calibration.
6. Calibrate against a reference every 12 months
