Anti D 150mcg Injection is a pharmaceutical preparation containing Anti-Rh D Immunoglobulin 150mcg as its primary active ingredient. This medication is indicated for the prevention of Rh sensitization in Rh-negative individuals. It is crucial in preventing antibodies from forming after a person with Rh-negative blood receives a transfusion with Rh-positive blood, or during pregnancy when an Rh-negative mother carries an Rh-positive baby.

The injection works by eliminating or neutralizing any Rh D-positive fetal red blood cells that may enter the Rh D-negative maternal bloodstream, thereby preventing the mother's immune system from developing antibodies against the Rh factor. Anti D 150mcg Injection is also approved for Rh prophylaxis in pregnancy-related complications and incompatible transfusions in Rh-negative individuals exposed to Rh-positive red blood cells. Additionally, it may be used for immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) in Rh-positive patients, a condition characterized by a decrease in circulating platelets. The product must be stored at 2-8°C and should not be frozen.
